With our lives becoming busier with work, family and life in general, our anxiety, tiredness and depression can increase.

Self care is essential every day, to lead to a more peaceful, balanced and happier life.

Here are 3 simple self care practices to help bring more calm and energy into your life:


1. As soon as you wake up in the morning, think of three things you’re grateful for. Keep it simple. “I am grateful for my breath, I am grateful for the help that I receive, I am grateful for my family”. Say whatever resonates with you. This is very important to do this EVERY DAY for three months. This will not work as well if you do this once in awhile. This simple task switches your mind set into positive thinking and has an incredible, uplifting impact on the brain.


2. Drink hot water in the morning, sitting in silence. Give your body and mind a moment to wake up, starting your day in a calm manner. When you drink hot or very warm water this can help flush out the toxins in your body.


3. Taking a warm bath with a cup of epsom salts and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Epsom salts in warm water, eases stress and relieves tension in the body. Epsom salts can also reduce pain, help fight cold and flu's and reduce migraine headaches.


It’s a beautiful gift to give to yourself when feeling down, if your body is sore or at any time you need it.


These 3 simple practices give a wonderful amount of self care to oneself. You will find with time, you are calmer, happier and more balanced than ever before.
